Book & Washbasin

This picture was taken in my Grandmother’s old house in Scottsville, NY. I had my first color assignment in my first year of Photography at RIT and I chose to use my grandmother’s house as my palette. The quality of light that streamed into the windows greatly appealed to me. This photo was a still life in waiting. The room was my Great Grandmother’s room. The furniture in the room was my mother’s. The old Bible and washbasin were just sitting there waiting to be captured.
